WHERE THE HISTORY OF WINE
LOOKS TOWARD THE FUTURE.
LOOKS TOWARD THE FUTURE.
Tenuta Sant’Anna is one of the most important wineries in Veneto and Friuli: here our knowledge of wine looks toward the future, opening new horizons to wine lovers.
THE ESTATE
150 hectares, 140 of which are planted in grape vines, located about 50 kilometers east of Venice, where two regions and three provinces come together: Venice, Treviso and Pordenone. In the middle of the estate are the production and office building, the wine shop and the farmhouse in the typical rural style of the Veneto region. Founded in the 1960s, our winery has achieved a number of successes and firsts. We were one of the first wineries to make wine from a single variety, a choice that still distinguishes us today. And we specialized before other wineries in the production of Prosecco sparkling wine, which over the years has become our flagship.
The Winery
In the winery, technology is essential, especially for the vinification of white wines and sparkling wines. Soft pressing of the grapes, temperature control, and control of the sparkling wine production process allow us to bring out the flavors and nuances of each grape bunch.
THE GRAPE HARVEST
At the beginning of each year, we decide which vineyards will be used for which final products, constantly monitoring their development. From August onwards, the grapes are sampled weekly, in order to arrive at the right degree of ripeness necessary for winemaking.
At Tenuta Sant’Anna, everything is tracked: by means of an ISO 9001 certified monitoring system, for every bottle we produce we are able to identify the vineyard from which come the grapes used to make the wine.
THE VINEYARD
A single large piece of land that holds more than 600,000 vines on our own vineyards. It is our guarantee of quality and our bond with the area.
Tradition and innovation: the vineyard is managed also through the use of the HORTA technological decision support system.
The data flow generated by the monitoring provides forecast models, information and alerts in order to ensure efficiency and quality over the entire area of the vineyards.
In 2020 Tenuta Sant’Anna obtained SQNPI (National Integrated Production Quality System) certification, because it is able to ensure consumers that its products are cultivated according to agronomic techniques that respect the environment and human health.
